tOur du Lac relay for 2 to 4 people
Sharing a moment together
We'd like to make you aware of the historic difficulty of the tOur du lac course!
You need to be aware that without specific and adequate training, it will be difficult to complete your relay and finish the tOur du Lac as a team. It's up to you to be tactical and place the right relay runner on the right section of the Race !
There will be time barriers calculated for the solo tOur of the lake, making them easier for you! But be careful, you'll still have to run!
In 2026, it will be the 15th edition of the adidas TERREX MaXi-Race (no edition in 2020 because of the Covid). For this 15th edition, the local authorities and organizers have worked together to offer you a unique course, better adapted to the changing weather conditions from year to year. Indeed, in recent years, hot weather has impacted on the Race , and thunderstorms at the end of the day have often forced us to switch to "fallback courses". So, in collaboration with local authorities and alpacists, we have redesigned the route 100%. The aim was to have shaded areas during the hottest periods and more easily secured areas at the end of the day. Of course, all the while retaining iconic sections with views of Mont-Blanc, the lake and the mountains at sunrise and sunset!

Relay operation
- Registration is carried out by a team captain, who can then manage the team interface and the names of the relay team members.
- The Race can be run by 2, 3 or 4 people, but only 1 classification is possible.
- The handover will take place in the "indicated on site" area.
- The runner who has just finished his relay may access the refreshment area before changing, but other relay runners may not.
- Accompanying staff and other relay runners will not be allowed to "enter" the "covered" area (gymnasium or marquee) where refreshments are taken.
- The order of the relays is free and does not need to be communicated in advance.
Access to relay zones
- The tOur du lac relay route is made up of 4 sections 1, 2, 3, 4. There are 3 relay zones A, B, C
- The runner starting the race and wishing to take the relay in zone A must return to Annecy by bus. At the same time, the runner taking the relay on zone A and taking relay 2, will have to go there by bus (departure from Annecy).
- No spectators, assistants or others will be allowed in the relay/refueling area A
- For relay zones B and C, you can access them by bus (option to be taken between February and March) or by your own means (bike, car or other).
- At the relay/feeding zone C, activities for children, families, cheese discovery, refreshments and more will be on offer.
- Bus options to be taken between February and March
Bibs withdrawals
- No Bib will be issued on the day of the Race.
- Bib can be collected the day before the Race
- One month before the Race, you must reserve your time slot on your personal space: only the team captain can reserve the slot.
- In your space, you will find the withdrawal card to present with your Bib number, your slot and your options.
- To collect the Bibs, the team captain must present the IDs of all his team-mates.
- If you are unable to collect your Bib, you can have it collected by a third party by submitting a handwritten letter on plain paper (which we keep). You'll need to specify your Bib number, the name and contact details of the person picking up in your place. In this case, two pieces of identification will be required.
