An exceptional edition, an unprecedented journey.

We would like to make you aware of the historical difficulty of the tOur du lac course.Please be aware that without proper training, it will be difficult to complete the tOur du Lac.

Since 2021, all riders dropping out between Doussard and the finish will be classified as "MaXi-Challenger".

In 2026, it will be the 15th edition of the adidas TERREX MaXi-Race (no edition in 2020 because of the Covid). For this 15th edition, the local authorities and organizers have worked together to offer you a unique course, better adapted to the changing weather conditions from year to year. Indeed, in recent years, hot weather has impacted on the Race , and thunderstorms at the end of the day have often forced us to switch to "fallback courses". So, in collaboration with local authorities and alpacists, we have redesigned the route 100%. The aim was to have shaded areas during the hottest periods and more easily secured areas at the end of the day. Of course, all the while retaining iconic sections with views of Mont-Blanc, the lake and the mountains at sunrise and sunset!

The SAS will open 20 minutes before the SAS departure time.
 

SAS are set up automatically 3 months before the date of the event, based on the performance index you have at that time.

Your Race time will start when you cross the start line.
Time barriers are calculated from the start time of the last wave.
Failure to respect the SAS and/or start wave will result in sanctions, including disqualification from the Race as indicated in the regulations.

Online by February...

  • No Bib will be issued on the day of the Race.
  • Bib can be collected the day before the Race (Friday)
  • One month before the Race, you must reserve your time slot on your personal space.
  • In your space, you will find the withdrawal card to present with your Bib number, your slot and your options.
  • To collect your Bib, you must present your ID and your collection card.
  • If you are unable to collect your Bib, you can have it collected by a third party by submitting a handwritten letter on plain paper (which we keep). You'll need to specify your Bib number, the name and contact details of the person picking up in your place. In this case, two pieces of identification will be required.
  • Pick-up location: Maxi Village in Annecy, exact location to be announced in October.
  • There are 3 feed zones, A, B and C, on the tOur du lac route. Only zones B and C are accessible to the public, assistants and chaperones.
  • Runners setting off from Annecy will not be able to see or have an assistant or support person before refreshment station B, at around 50km and 3500 m of positive altitude difference. That's the spirit of the MaXi-Race: to be autonomous in managing your needs and motivation. Find yourself on your own for the first part of the Race , and receive a boost of encouragement at the halfway point for the second part of the tOur du lac.
  • You have understood correctly: no spectators, assistants or others will be allowed before the B feed zone. 
  • For feed zones B and C, assistants and companions will be able to access them by bus (option to be taken between February and March) or by their own means (bike, car or other). New 100% private bus system, different from 2025.
  • At feed zone C, there will be entertainment for children, families, cheese discovery, refreshments and more. A special bus service departing from Annecy will be available to help you get there.
  • Bus options to be taken between February and March
  • Drop Bag option available from your personal account at €12
  • You can bring your own personal bag (provided by the organization), which will be transported by the organization to Doussard. The organization will then bring the drops bag back to Annecy at MaXi-Village.
  • Drop-off: on the day you collect your Bib from the drop-bag area (between 11am and 4:45pm and between 6:05pm and 9pm).
  • Collection: Saturday (3:00 pm to 11:55 pm) and Sunday at MaXi-Village (10:00 am to 6:00 pm)
  • No Drop Bag will be taken at the start on Saturday. 
  • If you do not pick up your drop bag, we cannot be held responsible for any malfunctions that may occur during your drop bag pick-up request.

Prizes by category

For individual races, the first men and women in each category will be rewarded. Category winners must present themselves at the Info Point (at the entrance to MaXi-Village), during opening hours, at the earliest 1 hour after their arrival (due to staggered wave starts) and with proof of their ranking in order to collect their prize.

Awarded categories: U20, U23, Seniors, M0, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7

MaXi-challenger

Anyone dropping out after Doussard or stopped by the time gates will be classified as a MaXi-Challenger.
